Refit a photo to a format

A vertical shot that has to become a 16:9 cover, or a landscape one that has to fit a phone screen. Pick the shape and the sides are painted in rather than cropped off.

Make room for text

Banners and thumbnails need empty space for a headline. Growing the frame gives you that space instead of covering the subject with the title.

Grow one side only

Direction is under Advanced options: add sky above, floor below, or width on the left alone, when only one edge of the composition is too tight.
